Just 30 minutes south of Daytona Beach is where we will target Trout, Redfish, Snook and the seasonal Tarpon. The Mosquito Lagoon is a part of the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge and is one of the most ecologically diverse places left in the United Slates. There you’ll witness Manatees, Osprey, Great Blue Herons as well as Porpoise and number of large schools of brood stock redfish in their natural habitat. yeah they use radar detectors…i know what you mean though, you rarely see troopers parked on the highway w/ the radar guns and EVERYONE speeds.
I thought it was going to be just the opposite…that everywhere i went i’d be stuck behind some old bluehair!

It depends on how far over the speed limit you’re going, and if the cop’s in a good mood or bad mood. Everyone around my home is always over the speed limit by about 5 mph, and they never get pulled over.
I have a radar detector in FL and have not noticed any targeting. Of course, I drive a station dragon so that might have something to do with it! I have noticed that most cops around here don’t drive around town (or on the highway for that matter) with their radars on. I think they generally have better things to do. When they want to target speeders, they all line up and just nail ‘em 1-2-3.
I have no idea in florida but thats the way in californa,the signs are there for fun.People are always doing about 20 30 over the speed there unless they are in a traffic jam.Even if the cops are around they still drive like that,the ones that get pulled over are the ones that do the speed limit & the speeders have to go around or slow down.
I’m sure police officers are more likely to ticket a driver with a RADAR detector since having one shows a premeditated attempt to break the law.

They do use it, but the State Troopers use it abit more. In Orange County, the Sheriff Department leaves the speeder’s to the State Troopers! and traffic accidents…
