I was fortunate enough to escape the gloom of Ohio for a week and spend my time in Florida with some very dear friends of mine.
Brian and Debora moved to Jacksonville after they wed last fall. I have known Brian since the 4th grade.
It was a great trip, spending time with them and other friends such as Cristin, her boyfriend Brian, and Umar.

Hi, my husband and I are thinking about moving to Florida. Specifically Daytona Beach. Can anyone please tel me anything about this area the good with the bad. I would like to know if it’s a family friendly area. Or if there is a better area in Florida that is better and is family oriented. How the weather is and the rent. Things to do and any other thing that might help our decision. If you could send me links about the area you consider better than Daytona Beach area that would be great.
I have an Autistic boy and a girl with Down Syndrome. I currently live in Puerto Rico and there is really not much for my kids here. We love the weather here, so my husband and I thought the closest weather to PR is Florida. Also money is an issue, since neither of us have any jobs yet. Info on job hunting would be a great help. If anyone who lives there could give me any info on Florida I would appreciate it thanks.

Daytona Beach is a decent place. The cost of living is great for a beach town in Florida. It can be a little crazy depending on the time of year but overall it’s family friendly. I’d suggest taking a trip there first. Check out http://daytonabeachotelscheap.com for more info.
