This is a slide show of some of the pictures I took on Daytona Beach before I went to the Daytona 500 on February 20th, 2011. I wanted to film a time lapse of the sunrise but unfortunately the fog did not burn off until well after sunrise. I started off at the Inlet Harbor Road parking lot before sunrise. That is where all the pictures before the Ponce de Leon lighthouse are from. My dad and I fed the birds some crackers. It was extremely foggy. Next we drove by the lighthouse and saw a cat in the parking lot there that seemed as if he was guarding the place. An hour after sunrise, when parts of the beach open to vehicles, we headed to the Emilia Avenue beach access ramp which is the southern end of the largest driving zone on the beach. For .00 you can get a day pass to drive your car on certain areas of the beach. While driving next to salt water, and at times getting splashed by it, is not a good idea, it was fun to do! (You have to be careful, because it would be easy to get your car stuck.) We drove for six miles along the beach, going the 10 mph speed limit, so it took awhile to do. We ended the drive at International Speedway Boulevard and then headed on to the Daytona 500, which I posted another slideshow of. Me at 1:57 in the video. Most of the pictures in this slide show were taken by a Canon PowerShot SX210IS camera, with a few from a Canon Vixia HF R10 camera. The audio in this video was added using YouTube’s AudioSwap feature: Track: Symphony No. 5 in B

Question by Rotten Rotts Lets Restore Sanity in the DS: A little Saturday morning challenge?
How many pictures do you have with just you NO DOGS?

I have my drivers license(dogs were in the car) and I have my college yearbook picture from the early 70s, they are a bit blurry much like my recollection of the 60s and 70s.(another story)

Except the the usual family vacation pictures I haven’t found any picture of just me, no dogs or assorted other critters past the age of 7.

I found one of me running on the beach with a English Bulldog. I don’t know anyone that has one. So if you lost a English Bull for a few hours, somewhere around the early 60′s in the Daytona Beach area, I didn’t mean to take your dog. I hope you accepted my parents apologies.

    Oh man.. im not sure.

    Maybe about 10.

But 90% of the photos on my camera are of my dogs, which has my friends saying “Would you take pictures of something else!”
But, The dogs are just so photogenic I can’t possibly resist!

Good question for a Sat. morning smile. Maybe a few, but only because the dogs weren’t allowed at the wedding. Thanks for the happy thought. Love my pets!

I have a few pictures with friends. Most of them, there are dogs in the background (or cats) but not in the picture. Or else we were at a restaurant, and couldn’t bring them with.

I have a few sports pictures, and some just me pictures where my cat (and dogs) were asleep at the end of the bed.

So basically, if they weren’t in the picture, they weren’t far off!

    Nice story, lol.

Oh please, no pictures with dogs in them!? How am I supposed to do THAT?

I don’t know, the dogs have more photos of themselves then I do! Haha.

I don’t know… I have a lot, when we went traveling, school, activities, etc. But I have a feeling, the dogs have more photos together/alone then me by myself! Haha
