Question by raillyboo: how many people do you know that travel about 80 miles to work everyday?
There is this job that i want so badly that can let me begin working with my AA degree. but its in jacksonville fl and I live in Daytona Beach fl and there is future possibilities for me to transfer closer to home but the main point is getting my feet in the door right now. i’ve heard of people having to commute to get to work but is 80 miles a crazy idea for a great opportunity?

That’s crazy. That would take you nearly an hour commute. Just think of the gas money you’d be putting in.

it sure better pay a lot to drive 80 miles most jobs wouldnt be worth it… most only drive like 20 to and 20 back and cost a bunch now days

If it’s a quality of life issue you need to think hard. Is it a good commute traffic wise? 80 miles is alot. I have a 57 mile commute each way and it is easy – an hour and all highway. I commuted to NYC for 30 years and that took 90 minutes each way.
