Question by eimerz: How do you drift in Daytona USA?

Best answer:

Answer by Jayme M
Drift?? You have been watching too many movies.

Daytona track uses “drafting”. That’s when you are following the car in front of you so close (bumpers almost touching) to promote the air flow to go over the top of both of your cars and travel as one down the track. There is less wind resistance enabling you to go faster.

Hi, I’m an admin for a group called The Hot Pass, and we’d love to have this added to the group!

Im assuming you are talking about the arcade game? If so you just slam into a lower gear and crank the wheel and it should drift around the corners. it definately takes some practice to perfect it tho.

If you are racing you do not want to drift.. simply because it is lost energy. But changing the setup on a race car will make it drift real easy.. in nascar they drift alot when they spin, and if they recover then it was a successful drift manuever.

    Drift?
Well you drift in line with everyone else then you buy your ticket and drift with the flow to your seat and as you drink the “sponsors” of some of the cars you drift in and out of conciseness.

Daytona USA is more that the high banked track used for the 500 and the Pepsi 400, there are flatter parts that are incorporated into races such as the Rolex 24 race that can be used for drifting.
